Resolved Question: Why would my dad hide his porn watching habbits when he is against that in this case?
The reason I know he watches it is because I had to use his internet and printer awhile back. He's in his 60s now. When I was a kid he always hated anything dirty like that, and the way he thinks I knew he was old school and against porn, or if someone was dirty minded he would get upset with the person and say how wrong it is. A year and a half ago, he went to the extreme just to buy me my own computer because he could not give me a good enough reason why I couldn't use his. He says I'll mess it up or download to many games or music on it, but I told him, friends' parents I don't even know let me use their computer, do you not trust me? I know a lot more about computers than he does and trouble shoot my own computer problems. I pet sit sometimes to earn extra money, and people I pet sit for let me use their computer. He would get defensive towards me when I would ask him in the past to use his computer and finally he gave in to let me use the internet and printer once. I figured he was hiding something, so I'm a little nosey, and I know I"m wrong and shouldn't have, but I briefly check his history and there's a lot of porn on there, and I was thinking there was going to be, and wanted to prove for myself, why he was belittling me about using his computer. But, there's beautiful woman videos and some hot, normal porn, so I don't know why he would be hiding anything? Maybe he's guilty that he is such a hypocrite and just stubborn? And, I know it's private, but to go to the extreme and buy your son a computer and than lie and say I'll mess it up, when really it's because he wants his computer for porn is a little messed up. That's what I take out of all this. He is old school, and never was a dirty minded person. I haven't seen any dirty magazines before in his room, and I know he probably wouldn't have any. Yes, I shouldn't have looked, but he would yell at me in the past when I simply just asked to use his computer. And, I felt bad that I couldn't be trusted enough to use it, when he trusts me a lot with other responsibilities. As soon as I did get to use it that one time, he changed his password after that, because I went to go use his printer again, and that's how I found out he changed his computer password. Is he going through mid life crisis or something? I would never think he is the type of person to look at dirty porn like that, knowing he is a hypocrite about a lot of things. I always knew how to erase my porn on my own computer, and have been watching porn for ever. I'm old enough too. I know that's a private subject to talk about with your parents, and I don't confront him about that, but I knew since he changed his password it was because of that reason. There's nothing wrong with porn watching. And, he's probably gonna get viruses anyways. I wouldn't damage his computer in the first place, it's his property. But it's messed up when he belittles you about things.
@ Roxie... I do respect his privacy by not confronting him about it, and I let him have his space, but he should not waste his own money on me, when I could have purchased my own computer, that's just wrong.
@ everyone, you don't understand, he has yelled at me in the past just for politely asking him to use his computer, and I was confused and hurt by it as to why he was getting aggravated with me. He was just taking out his behavior on me which is what he does a lot of times to me.
@ jacoby, yes, you are right, I was thinking in the past that he could set up two accounts instead of wasting his money in buying me a computer, thank you.
And, he hasn't been married in a long long time.
