I have been looking at Lenovo IdeaPad Y580, and TOSHIBA Qosmio X775-Q7170. But am indecisive since there are so many mixed reviews. I really just care about performance, I will be going to school for film and will be running a lot of high end video and audio software. Also enjoy playing games at nice quality and fps.

Open Question: How to calm down? I'm afraid to leave the house :(?



I deal with allot of social anxiety and I have to go to this public place with my mom to sign papers. I have been so stressed out about it because I honestly am afraid. I stopped eating since she told me this bad news that I have to go with her (it's bad news for me). I'm afraid someone would hurt me or try to hurt my parents....

I know allot of people do not believe it's possible to be afraid of leaving the house but I am and I am ashamed im this way, I don't try to be this way but something turned me this way. I don't go to any of my family members house, im afraid of them there nice but im afraid to be around people but not animals. I am sooo nervous and I actually want to die right now, if I can get out of this situation by dying then I will. People have freaked me out since I was a kid, im not anti-social im just soo afraid people in general :( I even hate when people come over my house family or not, I do not come out of my room if people are here, even if it's my oldest brother, (I live with my parents and my brother and uncle). This is so hard, im fine until I have to go somewhere. When I need something I just give my dad the money to go buy me food, cloths, video games, paper and other stuff, I don't go to stores either, too many people. I don't hate people though. I have not been outside of my house since I was 15 now I just turned 22. I used to go to therapy for manic depression but stopped because outside of the office allot of people were there and they look at me and my heart races, I have to have someone with me to feel safe.

How to keep myself calm because normally once im in the car my heart is racing, my hands are shaking and when I get into a building it's still racing, I take my hoodie and cover myself because I don't look at peoples faces coz they might scream at me or hit me. Does anyone know what im talking about? Plsss help before I have a heart attack....

And pls don't make fun of me I just really want someone to listen and try to help...

Open Question: My life is in shambles.?



I have no life anymore.

I say that because a while back ago in Spring I was (not to brag) a boss at soccer. Beating anyone in my path most said I was like the famous Lionél Messi. Then I obtained a deadly case of the common cold, It took me out of play for 2 weeks and in that two weeks I wasnt allowed to play soccer. I was very feeble. I dream about being a pro and the very best. I used to practice 2-3 hours every day after school. Then when I got sick, I got out of my practice habits and I lost all my confidence, I got addicted to this video game and I played that a great deal. I was basically tuned out all those dreams forgotten. This went through all summer. Now I am on a better team, but I feel less confident, and not playing to my potential, I am not beating anyone, my touches dont feel at all the same. My shots are horrific, to sum it up i am way out of practice.

If this matters much, I purchased new Predator LZ's after having a history with F50 Adizeros, The dribbling zone in the Predators I think is way off. Anyway, My brother tricked me with Preds and told me to buy the size he wears and I trusted him, Turns out they are 1-1 1/2 sizes way to big. If that affects anything or anyway of how I dribble and play.

Soccer was and I hope still is my life, and not being good at it is killing me. Its like i have no purpose. It is my passion

This is my last resort, Please anyone out there help me, what should I do? thank you.

Hi, i'm 15 and currently in an english school studying art and graphics at GCSE level and i am hoping to per sue a similar path for a level. i am very interested in the career path of concept art for video games/ films etc. or just general design. I was hoping for some tips on how to make a solid start on this path and what qualifications i should aspire to get and where i should go after i've acquired them. Obviously my age hinders my experience however i recently bought an intuos graphics tablet and am trying to build up a Portfolio (slowly but steadily) of character designs ect. I have this idea starting this early may help me some how. Thanks in advance, Matt =D

Open Question: Why do women like Toolbag losers so much?



I'm 27 and just getting back into singles mingling, I've had 2 very bad relationships with abusive and controlling women that destroyed my confidence and self esteem one when I was 18 and another when I was 22-25. Any how I've noticed a growing trend in the singles with attractive girls with a lot of potential going for unemployed losers that just use and use and use the girl, and are in love with themselves and constantly brag about awesome they are yet their ALWAYS in the passengers seat cause they have no car or job and mooch off their girlfriends. I work a full time job, have my own car, highly educated, and an active father in my childs life, I also overcame a severe drug and alcohol addiction that had a choke hold on me for over 3 years (almost 3 years clean now) which also ruined my college education I was pursuing. Yet I'am treated like crap anytime I try to talk to a woman, I usually get a cold shoulder and insulted but 10 minutes later their talking to some moronic neanderthal with no volume control spewing out unintelligible garbage while talking himself up. The only women I seem to attract and approach me are ones I don't find attractive at all and are just repulsive with no bright futures ahead. What am I doing wrong and what are these idiots doing right? is it because I think mainstream media is stupid? could it be I still dress like a skater cause that's my identity and I'm comfortable with it? maybe the fact I'm a nerd (I enjoy Star Wars, video games, computer programming, anime etc)? or just cause I don't have an inflated amount of self worth and mind my manners and have fun with out screaming "BEER" at the top of my lungs in a bar? Please help me I'm at the point where physical violence against these oafs is becoming an option.

On http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/ I seen something called "The Perfect Game" and heres what it says "heard rumors about a video game console, released in the early 90s, that promised the most immersive games imaginable. It bore a strong resemblance to the Super Nintendo, except it had no cartridge slot, no reset button, and only one controller port. It was released in an extremely low quantity; it's possible that less than fifty were ever available. People I talked to who remembered it from their childhood only mentioned the first game in the list. Other games were included on the console, but this one was, they say, the perfect game. Lifelike graphics and sound, even by today's standards, an endless supply of new, fun content, solid gameplay (the controls were responsive to the point of precognition, they recall), and the single controller port was all that was necessary; the NPCs in the game were “smart” enough to be just as entertaining as real players. It was quite literally a game nobody wanted to stop playing, and the people I interviewed all remarked, somewhat bitterly, that their parents forcibly dragged them away from the television set after a few days of continuous playing and threw the console in the trash. I was intrigued by what I knew so far, so I went looking for more people who remembered this relic of gaming history.

I searched high and low for anybody besides the handful of people I had already talked to, and, after a month of painstaking investigation, I found two independent accounts. They had a much harder time remembering the specifics of the console, but I was able to jog their memory by repeating what I had in my notes. I could see their eyes light up a little, remembering the perfect game, but both of them said, “That's not all it [the game] could do.” Both of them said the interface was “complete”, and I inquired what exactly they meant. After a few days, apparently, the game started having a positive physiological effect; it was as if the actions done in-game were giving the player “exercise”, and the player was able to go without food and water, seemingly drawing sustenance through items collected in the levels.

However, after a couple of days (they had played this game continuously for a week by this point), they started feeling the damage done to their in-game player character; the pain was small at first, and only a slightly forceful reminder to be more attentive. After a short while, though, the pain started getting intense, and the weariness of the constant action was taking its toll on them. “The game was still perfect. It was better than any high you can imagine,” one of them said, but it was becoming physically exhausting to play, and they couldn't tear themselves away from it. “I was almost done with one level, and I was fighting a boss that used a whip,” the other interviewee said. “I remember the whip was a one-hit kill; I had to start the level over, but I remember the searing pain where it lashed me across my arm.” He then unbuttoned the sleeve on his shirt, and I could see a scar twisting around his arm. “Yeah, it was getting that bad.” Both of them said their parents returned to the house nine days into the marathon game session, and forcibly dragged them away from the console and took them to the emergency room. The console was gone when they got back home – thrown away like all the others, I bet.

I could not find any other people who even knew what I was talking about. The rumors had stopped there, and I was left with incomplete knowledge about where I could even find one of these consoles. A sense of dread settled in the back of my mind, though, and I felt it was necessary to pore through newspaper archives from that period. I was trying all sorts of variations on “bootleg console” in an online database search, and what I finally stumbled upon was shocking. There were fifteen separate incidents of people found dead in their homes, sitting in front of their TVs with a bootleg-looking console hooked up to it. They had a “butchered” appearance, most commonly, with some found in pieces, and autopsies revealed that the internal organs had dissolved. One article remarked that the TV was just displaying static, and they could not get the console to power on. Local officials tried contacting the manufacturer of the console, but the owner's manual and the information on a sticker on the back of the console both referenced an address that led to the site of a warehouse demolished over 80 years ago"
