Open Question: Why do people say prison is so bad? It was a cakewalk! Not bad at all! Why all the rumors? Seriously whats up?
2 years ago I got sentence to 6 months in state prison for the charge of breach of trust, and to another consecutive 6 months in federal prison, for the charges of mail and wire fraud. Before this I was in the county jail around 2 months waiting for my transfer to state prison.
Well, I was expecting the fight of my life, I was expecting huge black people trying to rape me, and sadistic guards beating me. and well it didnt happen.
In state prison, the conditions were horrible but the inmates were pretty calm and so were the guards, it was boring sure, but nothing ever happened. My cellmate, who was black by the way (jesus when I first got in there I was trying to figure out how to make a "shank" since in thought he would try to rape me) just slept all day, and during most the day, inmates just played cards, or talked and watched tv. No problems.
Federal prison was even better. I was in a "prison" were everyone had their own rooms, and just went to the common area during the day, and could even smoke. There was a plasma screen tv, and 2 hours of exercise a day. No cells, no orange or blue jumpsuits, and all the guards were nice and mellow. Alot of female guards by the way, I even played a video game on a guards computer once and she was really hot! and the security was minimal.
So in my 1 year of incarceration (Which I admit I deserved), I was in county jail, state prison, and federal prison. and I only saw 3 fights. 1 of them in county, and 2 in state. and they werent even that serious. Not once did I hear about a rape or anything too severe.
So why all the rumors about his stuff. Prison was kinda like a time out for adults (with luxuries in federal).
