Voting Question: What do I need to learn to become involved in computer game artistry/animation?
Just to clarify, university is not an option (at the moment) as I've already been, made the wrong choices, now regret not following my childhood dream.
But hey, why not crack on now and take a sideline to maybe one day end up doing something I'd love. I mean, imagine loving your job! I'll have a piece of that please.
I'm pretty active on the computer anyway and have recently got into video software and looking at animation and stuff but with all software packages and stuff the learning is immense so why learn something to a high level when there are more mainstream software packages I don't know about right?
Well I'd like advice on where to start, what to learn, software to use and any advice people can offer.
I can draw, with a few months of practice I'll be back on top of my art so that's not really an issue.
For the record, I looked for non-university courses in animation and even coding, programming relating to gaming etc especially long distance which didn't throw up a lot of options. The only one I found was Train2Game which seems to be highly burdened with negative reviews, no graduates and the comment that you can find all the resources and training they offer for free rather than spend the £5000 for the privilege.

Open Question: War has to end now we need peace?
Why America and some other countries like war? Why do they love killing children and adults and drop bombs on them? What is wrong witj these countries? War is never needed, yes never. Most of you who answer these questions dont know what war really is. It is violence, fear, death. I hope God will destroy all the armys and navys and so on. What is.wrong with these adults? They say to kids that violence does not solve anything, but they think that it does. If I would have my own country, it would be peaceful. War has to end. Its the reason why our world is bad. Its why so many places have been destroyed. Adults are trying to get kids to like war by making video games, so they would learn to kill. What is.so good at war? Nothing. We need peaceful presidents and kings not Hitler people. Its sad that many people are starting to like war. War is the reason if the world ends. I dont respect any soldiers. I dont like to see a soldier if I see one on TV I change the channel. I dont respect people that have done more bad things than good things. Why would I respect them? They have made children cry and people die. They have been destroying the world. If you are in the army, quit and get a new job. If you are thinking about of going to the army, dont go. I hate that most presidents are selfish evil heartless war crazy people. We have to end this thing. This is not right. Do you think you are a good person? If you support war you are not. I am a good person, I dont support war never. 99,999999999999999999999999999999999% of War is bad, the rest is just some land or oil. I want world peace. Adults should show good example to children. If you support war you are on the bad side. War has to end, I cant believe that countries make bombs, do they love to see people in fire and then die? Open your eyes world peace is a good thing. With the money that countries spended making bombs and weapons, they could have made their country better, help poor people, not kill!

Resolved Question: Is my son playing too many video games?
A few months ago I let my 12yr old son buy the game GTA IV. I've never cared much about him playing violent video games, but now I think I should. You see, yesterday I found that my car had been stolen from my garage. It seems the keys were taken from the kitchen, but there was no sign of forced entry. It all worked out though, as the thief returned the car shortly before my son got back from school. Then that night there was a news report about a prostitute who had been beaten to death, and dumped in an alley, all of her money stolen. I'm worried that with recent events resembling the content of the game so much, that my son may get the wrong idea and start emulating the game. Should I take the game away?
