Open Question: Is this a good high quality laptop?
Hey, ok so I've been researching laptops for a few months now, and just finally got the green light to purchase one. I had been looking at the HP Pavilion Dv6T Quad Edition (http://shopping2.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Laptops/HP-Pavilion/A3F49AV?HP-Pavilion-dv6t-7000-Quad-Edition-Entertainment-Notebook-PC) with my configurations; the price would then be around $1,200. I had my heart set on this one, but then the HP Pavilion Dv6 7014nr (http://shopping2.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Laptops/HP-Pavilion/B2P41UA?HP-Pavilion-dv6-7014nr-Entertainment-Notebook-PC) came out, and I was pleasantly surprised. It had all of the customizations, plus more, that I would have put on the Dv6T Quad, and it had a cheaper price. I thought I had struck gold, but then I started asking my friends their opinions and got a 50/50 split of either it's terrible or it's perfect. So what do you think?
What im going to be mainly using my laptop for is movies, TV, Videos, and INTENSE web browsing. No I am not someone who only uses a laptop for facebook. Good gaming is a must, as even though I am not playing every night,or even every week, I do go on Steam I am on there for days. I thought the dedicated graphics card, 8 gigs of ram, and i7 processor (which I'm not entirely sure if it is third gen or not) would be able to handle this, but I'm definitely having second thoughts.
So I you think you can help me please do! I would appreciate much! So basically could you tell me whether or not this laptop is on par with say, the Envys (or any other high quality computers), and if you think overall if it will be a good laptop. Specific reasons relating to the specs please :)
I was also looking at the HP Envy 15, but I really would rather not get it.
