Voting Question: is it normal for me to be depressed about this?

ok well lately i feel so depressed i wish i grew up in the 70's/80's hell even the 60's.I am only 16 but i hate how boring my generation is.Im sorry but i don't find playing video games and being on the computer fun but thats what i do since every one else my age is in there house doing the same thing(i know its not good to do what everyone else does but its kind of hard not to)

Im not even going to complain about the music/movies that play nowadays since thats the least of it for me but i listen to my mom tell me stories about how she delivered papers and rode her bikes with her best friends and was always outside and then i look around and hardly ever see that and if there are kids outside they are either on their phone or getting high(Which i guess everyone got high at least once)But still and people say its because this generation is so dangerous but really every generation is dangerous i just think with the news and everything its being broadcasted more so people are more scared of it.

Anyway so is it normal for me to want for something so badly to happen when it is impossible?
Also if you could be brought up in any generation what would it be and why?
