Open Question: How to keep the fibers of society intact while maintaining strict gun control?
Its not just gun control that needs tending to. We have been getting more and more passive with many other venues that needs attention as well. Profanity in music for one: by sounding "fk you" or "b-tch" is the same as saying the word in full. Its implication is clearly there as we have to then imagine the word in its entirety as listeners. Radio announcers are now saying @ss and b!tch more often.

Children run around with plastic toy guns and pretend they are murdering each other and fake horrible deaths with fake blood and swords while their parents sip tea with neighbors.

Prime time TV has more profanity, violence, drug content and nudity.

Our role models in sports and hollywood are getting into trouble and the internet is an easy means of communication for which to transfer this needless information to our young, loyal and easily influenced fans.

Perhaps colleges need to be more selective and better equipped with their screening processes. Perhaps hospitals need to have better security measures in place. Perhaps businesses need better surveillance systems. Perhaps schools need more resource (police) officers.

The list could be ongoing forever and ever. Society needs to take an aggressive stance on the increased regularity of violence now. Rid of toy guns. Place stricter policies on the musical industry. Curtail how much violence is offered on video games and movies. You could enhance security all night or day long. But until other venues are tended to .... we will all be caught in a musical chair dilemma where we can only hope and pray that we are safe when the music stops.

Its not communisim. Its being responsible as a citizen. When we test the limits of responsibility and the threshold of our limits, then we relinquish some of our freedoms. A process needs to implement itself to curtail our irresponsibility and our haphazard ways of living that detriments the lives and well being of others.
