Open Question: How to OC or speed up my laptop.?
I just receives my Valkyrie CZ-17 about two weeks ago and have noticed severely dissapointing game performance. I know both GTA IV and The Witcher 2 are Gpu intense games but I heard that the 675m was a repackaged 580m. If so why does it seem like not only does the 580 have higher benchmarks, but also higher frame rates via videos. My laptop has a fan button for extra cooling above the keyboard. Like someone mentioned in a review the Valkyrie is using the casing of one of MSI's laptops.
Would OCing really be detrimental? I heard that Asus does it on some of their laptops though mine doesn't come with a bios option. I should be able to keep it cool with that extra fan button option. Also it doesn't look like their are any drivers for the 675m besides the beta ones.
So in short any help boosting my fps? I run the Witcher 2 on med with motion blur and shadows low and get 35-45+ frames and GTA 40-55 on mostly high with night shadows off, shadows on med and vsync on.
TL;DR hHlp me speed up my new laptop, kinda new to the pc scene.
