Open Question: How can I begin beta testing gaming laptops?
I'm a 15-year-old who LOVES video games like Mass Effect and Half-Life, and I plan to get into others (like Darksiders, Saints Row, and Dishonored, when that comes out). The only problem is that the only computer in our house able to play them is my dad's, which is used (and fought over) by four other people. I've been looking to get my own, but I don't want to rely on reviews, other people's opinions, and computer-related mumbo-jumbo I don't understand. I'd love to do some beta testing to figure out which one I like, but I don't know where to start. Which brands offer beta testing I might qualify for, and how do I go about contacting the right people to set all this up?

Battlefield 3 : Important News
 | Hello youtube, what can I say. Recently within the past 48 hours a new tool was released by a battlefield community member which enables the editing of the blue filter and haze effects and I must say that the improved colour correction is a VAST improvement over stock settings. Though there is a significant downside in the sense that due to DICE's coding, They have packaged all of the weapon damage values within the same file that is opened to create this blue-filter-less mod. So, In hindsight the developer of this tool feels he may have opened pandora's box in regards to damage modifier cheaters being able to one shot kill from virtually any range with any weapon, Hopefully though, Since the link was removed a mere hour or two after the initial post, I'm hopeful that the less genuine players haven't got hold of the tool as this would spell a disaster for Battlefield 3 as we know it. On the upside however, As you can see in this video, The strength of the blue filter appears to be map specific as opposed to just being enabled with the same values all the time. Could it be used as a cheat? well.. Sure it could be, That is however assuming that people with the potential mindset to cheat and think its ok has got access to the tool. From what I can see, DICE doesn't seem to have anything posted on their Twitter and Even Daniel matros aka Zh1nt0 hasn't posted anything relating to this on his Twitter feed, the same story goes for Alan Kertz with no posts or anything related to <b>...</b> | Views: 4  0 ratings |
