Nerdy News: www.videogamesblogger.com Do you want a 3DS guided tour through France's Louvre Museam? Would you play console quality games on Facebook? Does FB have the potential to give consoles a run for their money? Should sex offenders not be able to use video game console online services? Or have they paid their debt to society? Are there better ways to protect children when they are connected to so many people? Who should shoulder the responsibility: the government, parents, or the console makers themselves? The one thing I truely love the most is when video game tech is used for real-world applications. Most recently, France's famous Louvre Museum struck a deal with Nintendo to have electroic guides to their museamcreated with 3DS consoles. The guide provides touch-screen visual-and-audio guidance for the millions of visitors who navigate the museum's labyrinthine halls each year. The console contains 700 recordings on famed works like the Venus de Milo and the Mona Lisa. Of course that's still just a taste of the 35000-odd works displayed in the museum. Cloud gaming company, Gaikai, has set out on a mission to bring together social network giant, Facebook, with console quality video games. I think this is a good move by both Gaikai and Facebook. If it is successful, both companies stand in a unuiqe position. They could find themselves on the same playing ground as the big console providers. Police: Guns show CA suspect set for confrontation



' Police investigating the death of a man suspected of gunning down a California sheriff's deputy and a civilian say they've found equipment indicating he was preparing for an armed confrontation: a ballistic vest, a gas mask and several weapons including a high-powered assault rifle.
